Vitamin E:
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in eight different forms. Each form is active and useful in the body in its own way. Alpha Tocopheryl is the most active form of Vitamin E in humans, and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants such as Vitamin E act to protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging byproducts of the body’s metabolism and digestive system. Free radicals can cause cell damage that may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Because skin is high in unsaturated fatty acids, which are especially susceptible to free radical damage, it can benefit from vitamin E protection. Vitamin E also can increase the effects of Vitamin C.

Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate (DMAE):
These are purchased only from reputable wholesalers. Each raw material in our products must come with a Certificate of Analysis obtained from the supplier. Our in house Quality Assurance team also analyzes the raw materials for authenticity.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (as Thioctic Acid):
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), also known as Thioctic Acid, is a universal antioxidant. In other words, it is both fat and water soluble. As a result, ALA can travel more widely through the body than most antioxidants. ALA stops the activation of NF kappa B, so helping to suppress the inflammatory response within the cell. This can reduce the redness due to skin irritation. ALA has also been found to prevent and reverse scar formation. ALA controls a transcription factor called AP-1. AP-1 activates genes in the cell nucleus that produce collagen-digesting enzymes. The digestion of collagen promotes wrinkles, but ALA can work to inhibit this process. ALA helps recycle other antioxidants, such as Vitamin E and Vitamin C, making them more effective. ALA also helps the body produce energy and has been studied in connection with liver problems, radiation sickness, diabetes-related neuropathy, protection of DNA and even as an inhibitor of HIV. ALA is found in only small amounts in foods meaning that you can't get very much of it through diet alone.

Ascorbyl Palmitate (as L-Ascorbic Acid):
Your body needs Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) to form and maintain bones, blood vessels and skin. In particular, Ascorbic Acid helps form collagen. It also promotes the healing of cuts, abrasions and wounds to the skin, and helps regulate melanin production, contributing to reducing hyperpigmentation during outbreaks of acne. There are two forms of Ascorbic Acid, L-Ascorbic Acid and D-Ascorbic Acid. D-Ascorbic Acid is discarded by the body, meaning that L-Ascorbic Acid is the only useful form of Vitamin C. Ascorbyl Palmitate is a fat-soluble form of Ascorbic Acid. This quality may allow Ascorbyl Palmitate to act more effectively as an antioxidant than ordinary Ascorbic Acid within the lipid domains of your cells, protecting the membranes and low density lipoproteins (LPL) against oxidation. There are indications that Ascorbyl Palmitate similarly may be more efficient than ordinary Ascorbic Acid in recycling Vitamin E. Studies indicate that Ascorbic Acid helps protect the skin against light and helps prevent suppression of the immune system due to ultraviolet radiation. Ascorbic Acid is valuable in keeping teeth, bones, gums, cartilage, vertebra discs, joint linings, skin and blood vessels healthy. It is also been studied in relation to preventing infections and cancer, aiding the absorption of iron and reducing levels of lead in the blood. Because Ascorbic Acid is a water-soluble vitamin, it cannot be stored by the body except in very small amounts and must be replenished daily.

Aloe Vera (Aloe vera) (leaf):
Aloe Vera leaf contains enormous numbers of nutrients and beneficial compounds, including minerals, amino acids and vitamins. Aloe Vera is widely used in the treatment of wounds, minor burns and skin irritations, because it contains gibberlin and polysaccharides, which effectively decrease inflammation and promote wound healing. The lignins in Aloe Vera penetrate the skin and carry the healing effect into the tissues. Aloe Vera also helps to reduce scar tissue. It has been claimed that Aloe Vera leaf boosts the immune system.

Collagen Hydrolyzed:
About 25% of all body proteins consist of collagen. Hydrolyzed Collagen is simply collagen that has been broken down into smaller pieces by enzymes, which may ease the digestion and absorption of the amino acids in collagen by the intestine. Hydrolyzed Collagen is thought to help nourish the body's collagen-containing tissues, including cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments and skin. Hydrolized Collagen also prevents moisture loss, and binds and retains water. Studies suggest that Hydrolyzed collagen may aid in the treatment of degenerative joint disease.

Bioperine (Piper nigrum):
Bioperine is a patented extract of black pepper and long pepper berries harvested in India. Black pepper is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat fevers, digestive disorders, urinary difficulties, rheumatism, neuralgia and boils. Bioperine contains far more of the active content of black pepper than raw pepper does. The important point for Acuzine is that Bioperine increases the absorption of many supplements, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants, making the other active ingredients more active.

Ubidecarenone Co-Enzyme Q10:
Coenzyme Q10 is also known as ubidecarenone. It is made naturally in the body. A coenzyme is a substance needed for the proper functioning of an enzyme, a protein that speeds up the rate at which chemical reactions take place. Q10 refers to parts of the compound's chemical structure. Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant found in most body tissues. Like other antioxidants, it has been studied in relation to reducing aging of and damage to the skin. Tissue levels of coenzyme Q10 decrease as people get older. Coenzyme Q10 is used to produce the energy needed for cell growth and maintenance and has been examined in treament of HIV, cancer, and heart disease.
